A small portion of a much larger project we are on in Doylestown but one so well done it deserves its own quick post. Most important, hats off to, you guessed it, Ole Patsy. Top tier patching on a ton of brick work here and an absolute dead match I’d put up against anyone’s work out there. A round of applause for the Glenside legend and all around awesome dude, Pat Regan. In a week or so we will lightly dab some mixed stains to finish this off and if someone can find these from the ground I’ll buy you a Rita’s water ice out of Pats pay.

She is a freaking beaut, Clark. Again, the legends Matt and Lisa Broad show the neighborhood how to do it. Simple, tasteful, considerate and high level without throwing it in your face. Many thanks to the Broads for all they have done for and with us. Some of the best clients anyone could ever ask for. I am beyond happy with how this wall turned out. Reclaimed stone from was the score for sure. This old church stone was fit for power lifters as most were full depth at 12” + deep. Lots of hammer work in a tight space is tough but doable with the right cats. Harry Bambi sent us off with some nice 3rd gen granite slabs for steps and Ant finished it off with what could easily be considered one of the nicest V joints out there. Through snow, silly low temps, and hard big stones the fellas kept a smile and it shows in the wall. I try to find flaws in all of our work, but this one left me empty. Hats off to Ant, Joel, the fellas at Sparks, the fellas at Jarret Vaughn and most importantly and , Ollie and Teddy for always giving us a crack. Simply the best!

Nearly 2 years ago Wes and Jacquline called and asked me to meet them at a home they were interested in buying. We met and had a look and spoke about the state of the facade amongst other things. As promised, I got the second call early summer to come get this right. Windows were ordered and we waited. Once windows landed we did to and got to it. I am certain people are sick of hearing me, but pointing in lintels and riding joints will tear your house up, bottom line. We tore the whole facade down, rebuilt and flashed the steel at the first floor, coated the whole wall in liquid membrane and worked out how to build this back plumb with a 3” discrepancy from top to bottom not allowing for brick work. A corbel to start had us sorted and introduced air to the wall, what I believe to be the single most important ingredient in a wall system, framed or masonry. Wes and Jacqueline were awesome to work with so we gave it back to them pro bono via limestone sills and copper parapet flashing. Awesome job for awesome people. Hats off to the lads, Philip and the amigos, Ross, Ed and Justin, all solid cats, what I believe to be the single most important ingredient in a job well done. 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

Awesome project here where we teamed up with and architect Christian Busch. What started as a basic cut and point with a new cap ended up as a rebuild fit for Rainman. This beautiful chimney was peeling apart at false joints. A stiff wind would have had it on the roof. Slow and steady wind the race here. Slow brickwork and piles of lime filling this beast solid has it safe and sound. Red .us always looks sharp and is historically accurate. We were tasked with pouring a cap to replicate bluestone. This is where it got fun. A few years back I was at visiting my boy Alex when I saw a pile of blue sludge (mica dust) and had a lightbulb moment. I took a bucket of that home and dried it out, ran it through a seive and saved it for later. We poured the cap with mica dust inside and I dusted the top as we poured it. It was a gamble but the samples said it would work. And it did! Good times. Many thanks to Ben Cross and Christian Busch for having us on this one. 🗣️🗣️

Lordy Lordy, my Christynina is 40!!! If anyone sees this absolute dime, please wish her a happy belated. Christy, you are a gem. Watching you effortlessly crush the mom game has been the best thing in my entire life. Me and the little man would be lost without you and we can’t wait to see what the next 40 have in store. Ty for all you do for us. We love you to the moon!!! .re

ONeill Masonry’s most reliable employee went to the “Happy Dog Farm” yesterday. My old Bulldog and good friend Pope went out and died right in the backyard on me yesterday. I am grateful he went this way as shocking and unexpected as it was. I hate putting a good dog down. It’s hard. 12 plus years ago I was introduced to a guy out in Chicago deep in the bulldog game and he linked me up with Scott Pugh, now a friend from Texas. Scott flew that little bulldog up here and I was in love. I then met Colby Miller who I consider a very close friend from east Texas. I go visit him and his family often and they are 100% solid people who treat me like family. So Pope wasn’t just a dog. He was link that created strong friendships. Along with that Pope was a throwback style Bulldog. Rarely seen in a world of hot blooded dogs these days. Pope was a gentleman, bomb proof temperament, friendly and tolerant of kids, chickens, sheep, you name it. I never even had to really break him on other farm critters I had. He just got it He was a real old style porch bulldog I have been reading about since 1992. We had a good run and I am grateful for this hound. He was a gentleman and a good friend. Enjoy some photos and enjoy your hounds.

Quick little job on a rough back wall on an old brick wall in Germantown. Some ribbon joints in old mica, loads of old fashioned elbow grease cleaning, brick infills and a cut out and point in lime has these folks sorted for a very long time. Really cool owners and we appreciate them having us. Next year, a whale of a side wall we are pumped for. Ty!!

A massive Ty to and for having us on this unique project. At first I wasn’t 100% certain how we would do this best. I was nervous. Then one of my all time favorite people called and I never say no to Dana Brennan. I did piles of research with the help of offering up a sound suggestion on a base coat mortar fit to handle high volume sitting traffic. Now I want to do one every week. Such a fun job. Most importantly, a sincere ty to Jacklyn for having the vision and giving us a crack at it. Smash that follow button for J Spot and don’t you dare walk by without stopping in. The place is gorgeous!!!

Felt this killer joint needed its own post. Jk, sort of, I forgot to add these on the previous post. A handful of samples and a few tries at cutting methods and we landed here. BAM!
