Evan replacing a horizontal control bearing on a Spectra Precision Focus 35 and Focus 50 over the weekend. This Robotic Total Station is used for Land Surveying. Their is three different models-
Short-Range, Long-Range and Autolock for flexible field operations. Also 4 different Angular accuracy: 1", 2", 3", or 5".

This morning we are preparing a Trimble DG613 before we deliver to the costumer. Before any new precision optical measurement equipment leaves to the costumer we preform a full calibration, checking all servo motors, all functions, all optics and all axis. Afterwards we print a calibration certificate and calibration report for our costumer to utilize on the job site.

Today our tech Joseph Carlino is working on a system (TM Model), it’s in for service from one of our customers in California. It is being used with a TSC-3 data collector.

This system is used for bathymetry and environmental monitoring and was not reading depth. Joe replaced a few circuits on the main circuit board and it is working as it should.

Keeping these older systems in service is just as rewarding and important as servicing the latest and greatest models.

July 26th at Haddon Heights Farmers Market kicks off our series of events Surveying with Joe Carlino & Robotics Activity with Evan Carlino With strong relationships in the Land Surveying Industry Evan and Joe have learned a lot about Land Surveying and the technology over the years. Much of the learning and education that Land Surveyors attain comes from mentors, team mates, and just hands-on experience in the field that the Carlino brothers have been around all their lives. Mostly survey equipment failure and learned that Land Surveyors are solution-finders to complex situations. Don’t miss this FREE event, open to all ages, where kids can do a robotics activity with Evan and teens, young adults can learn Land Surveying and equipment with Joe.
