Another few pictures of this little guy, safe and nestled right in Mike’s arm and right after being caught🐿️

As a parent, it wasn’t easy walking away. The thought of bringing him home to show our kids definitely crossed our minds… but we knew that wasn’t what was best for him.

Sometimes doing the right thing isn’t the easiest thing.

We gave him the best shot by putting him back where he belongs — with a chance to reunite with his parents and stay wild.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. At M.L. Blake Earthworks, it’s not just about the job — it’s about respecting the land and everything that calls it home.

At ML Blake Earthworks, we don’t just clear land—we look out for what’s living on it too. 🐿️

While wrapping up the final stages of a house demolition, Mike (owner) heard something coming from the soffit… a baby squirrel calling out.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a ladder, climbed up to the second story, and carefully got into the soffit to safely remove the little guy.

Because around here, protecting wildlife isn’t an afterthought—it’s part of how we do business.

We take pride in doing the job right, while respecting the land and everything on it. 🌎
