Construction and stonework laborer needed for busy Cape Ann landscape construction company. Construction and stonework laborer will work in our construction division of the company. Qualified candidates must be experienced with working around heavy machinery, general excavation, septic/sewer/water/drainage systems. Experience with boulder retaining and seawalls is preferred but not required. Qualified persons must be able to work as a team player, be reliable and willing to learn. Room for growth within the company is available for team members who embody the work ethic and integrity of the company. We offer guaranteed 40+ hours a week, paid holidays, retirement plans and competitive pay rates. Pay will vary depending on licensing and experience.
Laborers work regularly with:
Trucks (1 ton dump truck or small dump truck)
Hand tools (shovel, pry bars, lifting chains, saws, sledgehammer, stone chisel)
Power tools (compactor, compressor, pipe/stone saws, stone drill)
Machines – based on experience (backhoe, skid steer, excavators)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Communication – work collaboratively with co-workers, homeowners and other professionals, which require excellent verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability – use physical ability to work with their hands and perform many tasks that require squatting, standing, and bending for hours at a time.
• Attention to detail – pay close attention to ensure that all work is performed well and correctly because different areas depend upon each other to function properly and look impressive.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 1 year experience as a construction laborer
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to drive a 1 ton dump truck or small dump truck
• Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop or project
• Be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
• Take part in being thorough, and cleaning up job-sites
• Must have a willingness to learn
• Must be a team player and take directions from a lead foreman
• Will be required to obtain DOT physical to drive company trucks
• A hoisting license is a plus
