Attention followers and customers! We are rapidly closing in on the one year anniversary of our move. While we have enjoyed a much more professional atmosphere in our new place, it has also come with a more finite stone supply. We have also enjoyed the continued support of many of our stone customers, but we realize that it is entirely possible that we may cut up and sell our supply so fast it would all be gone before my dad is ready to retire. It is with that thought in mind that we have decided to pivot away from stone sales and back entirely to the stonemasonry on which my dad founded his career.
Life often has circular motion. Things end much the way they begin. Our supply business began with the opportunity for us as a family to step our game up and provide quality native building stone to local and regional contractors. Our supply business will end with us as a family coming together to enjoy as many years working together as possible. Truth be told, we never made as much money selling our stone as we do putting it up on site. We never did it for the money; we did it because it was important. For those of you who have bought and built with our stone, we thank you for your patronage and helping to get as much of this legendary material into circulation as possible. We could have never done it without you folks.
This is a new chapter for Rockport Cut Granite, but it is not the epilogue. Dad will enjoy his 75th birthday this July, and with this pivot, we will ensure he’ll be working with this marvelous stone for many more birthdays to come.
