Today definitely gives us a taste of spring! The better weather is on the way which means more time outside! My customer had a well worn walnut countertop that she wanted to restore. I sanded it down to bring out the beautiful wood grain. After sanding down to a 400 grit, I stained it with a dark walnut stain. After letting it air dry for a few days I coated it with several coats of polyurethane which shows the countertops beauty.

Final pics of the completed build of the wall unit. Customer has chosen to paint the unit so I primed it to get it ready for them. Once painted I will then install all the necessary hardware to complete the look. This unit was a nice addition to spruce up a lot of good wall space and to make the existing fireplace stand out more!
I love being able to do carpentry work and grateful they chose me to do this job.

I was hired to design and build a “built in” unit around an existing stone fireplace hence creating a “built out” piece. I love doing carpentry, wood working and design. With the assistance of my architect friend, Dom Lio, we created a design that my client loved. Pics below show the digital design and the existing stone fireplace.
