We wrapped up some drywall repairs for a client and were waiting for the wallpaper to go up. In the meantime, our client wanted to make sure her guests knew the room was a work in progress… and who was responsible for it! πŸ˜†

So, what did she do? She made sure everyone knew 𝐉𝐒π₯ 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐫𝐞!

THE POWDER ROOM REVEAL… AND THIS ONE WAS UNEXPECTED!

Remember that little sneak peek from yesterday? Well, the wait is over..! βœ¨πŸ’™

Who says a powder room has to be boring? We took this small space and gave it a BIG personality with bold botanical wallpaper, rich blue board and batten, dramatic blue-green granite, and gorgeous gold accents.

The mix of patterns, textures, and finishes brings this space to life in a way you might not expect from a little powder room!

Thank you to Southern Stone and Baker Pipe and Parts LLC for their part in making this transformation a reality!

Sometimes you gotta take the guys to Bo’s! πŸ˜‰ And sometimes a dinner out at Longhorn turns into a brainstorming session for what’s next at JYD. One thing is for sure: good food and good company go hand in hand with a great team!

Fun fact: Jil’s team stretches far and wide, from the beaches of North Carolina all the way to Central Georgia! πŸŒŠπŸ‘ Even when we aren’t all in the same place, teamwork, collaboration, and a little fun keep us connected.

We’re grateful for a team that works hard, supports one another, shares ideas, and knows how to enjoy the moments in between.

Sometimes, it’s the little details that make the biggest difference. A bit of fresh board and batten adds texture, character, and a polished touch to an otherwise unexciting corridor. 🏑

And we’re not done yet! The families photos are being framed and will soon complete the look. Giving this space its own moment in the home.

Around here, we like our design pretty AND tough. πŸ˜‰
Jil is putting in the work with the circular saw to get these tiles cut just right, because when you’re tackling the details, precision matters!

And yes… those nails survived the job! πŸ’…πŸ˜‚
If you’re going to work hard, you might as well have great nails while you’re at it. Shoutout to Holly at Aura Collective for keeping Jil’s manicure looking good enough to make it through a little construction action!

A meaningful night at the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair!

Tom joined Mike Gurley of the Home Builders Association of Wayne County and local Southern Wayne Saints High School teachers to help judge the annual High School Carpentry Contest, sponsored by Wayne Community College.

It was inspiring to see so many talented students put their carpentry skills to the test, including two young women who are proving that carpentry is for anyone with the passion and drive to build something great. πŸ‘

Tom knows firsthand where these skills can lead. He started his own career in high school through a carpentry program, continued his education through the Pitt Community College carpentry program, and now has the opportunity to come full circle by judging the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

A special thank you to Goldsboro Builders Supply & Family of Companies and Builder's Discount Center for their generous donations and support in making this event possible! Contest monetary awards donated by the HBA of Wayne County. We’re proud to see students learning hands-on skills and building a foundation for careers in the skilled trades. The future is looking bright! πŸ”¨ πŸ’ͺ
