These are the kinds of things I love coming across. This stone was called for in a description of a property from the 1800’s. The deed said the corner was marked by a stone marked HI, this initials of the property owner. 150 years and it still stands in its original location. To some, it’s just a stone in the woods, but with the right perspective it’s an incredible piece of history.

I believe Wednesday’s Boundary Survey in Clayton was the thickest brush I (Sandy) have ever pushed/crawled/climbed over and under ever! Add the fluffy snow falling off the trees/bushes and going down our necks and you have a very long day. But got it done! Matt is very thorough and does not cut corners at all, so directly through it all we went. He’s an exceptional surveyor!

On today adventures… We learned that my optimal working temperature is around 50 degrees and that white rabbits (showshoes) still think they can hide when the snow first melts. What a beautiful day to enjoy the great outdoors!! On another note, the ticks have awoken from their winter slumber.
