In Stellar Plumbing we understand that your home is your most precious investment. Polybutylene pipes were banned from new construction projects from 1995 because of a flaw that was discovered over time: Oxidation, and exposure to chlorine in the water supply cause the pipes to swell and crack, leading to a widespread flood damage throughout the home, usually without any warning.

Two features indicate that you have polybutylene pipes:

1- The color of the pipe: Polybutylene pipes are usually blue, but may also be black or gray.

2- The letters “PB” are stamped on waterlines.
