Raise your hand if you have ever thought about buying a DIY mold testing kit? I never recommend them for many reason. This is photo from a new client of ours. She lost sleep that her house was infested with mold. After a professional test that was done it was found that she didn't have any elevated mold inside her home.

Here is the reason why petri dishes shouldn't be relied on -

** Petri dishes are highly inaccurate and misleading for mold testing because they rely on passive gravity settling, which cannot measure airborne spore concentrations. They frequently cause unnecessary panic by growing mold from spores that exist naturally in every indoor environment.
