The grass has greened up!

Now is a good time to cut your yard a little shorter, but don't scalp it. You will cut off the brown dead grass and expose your grass to much needed sunlight and air. Make sure you bag it, or it won't do any good. Your grass will be one of the greenest on the block.

Now is the time to control crabgrass. It germinates when the ground temperature reaches 55 to 60 degrees. If you haven't put down the crabgrass prevent yet, I would do it before the end of March. Make sure you get the kind that has fertilizer. Your grass will thank you.
