This one was a pretty special transformation for us.
Several months ago, this home in Decordova was damaged by a fire and had to be rebuilt. We got the call to coat the garage floor, which was one of the last pieces left before the house was finally finished again.
The concrete was in rough shape. It was black from the fire, with melted material stuck to parts of the floor. It is actually hard to tell just how dark it was in some of the pictures, so I included one photo where part of the floor had already been ground and part had not. You can really see the difference there.
We ground the entire floor back down to clean concrete, put down an epoxy base coat, added our "Silver Bells" flake, and finished it with a polyaspartic top coat.
It looks like a completely different garage now.
There is something pretty satisfying about taking a floor that had been through that much and getting it cleaned up and finished as one of the final steps in putting this home back together.
