We had an over excavation on this one. Peat and slab wood from years of filling the swamp. We dug into the water table slightly but found clean sand to build on. Backfilled with crushed stone to get us back above water and they guys will set footings. This will be a slab on grade foundation so no basement or crawl space. More backfill soon to come.

This machine is so impressive. Small enough for the restricted work but big enough to make the reach and actually get work done.

Stepping back to when Nick was fresh on the dozer. It’s amazing what a few years and seat time can do. But let’s be honest this video is mostly for that track noise 😎⚓️

Let’s face it. This tool does not get enough credit, the shovel.

For someone that takes pride in their trade and the small details, the shovels and other hand tools are necessary. We always take the time to walk the edge of the foundation after backfilling and just give that small area where the dirt meets the concrete that extra love. Something about it just makes things right. Same goes for the top of the concrete wall, we either blow it off or broom it to help the next guy down the road.

Bottom line is if you think you’re too good for the shovels of the world, you’re not good enough for us.

We pride ourselves with the one stop shop for all your excavating, land clearing, and whatever other curve ball a customer may have.

Clearing land is a task that may look easy from the outside in, there is a lot that can go wrong while working with 50’-100’ tall trees. Proper planning is important before logs start flying. Efficiency is our goal.
