We came to the rescue of a DYI'er today. Our client is building his own garage in his valuable spare time. With winter closing in and a hectic work schedule coupled with no roofing experience, he called us. We were able to break a couple of guys off another project to whip this roof out for him in THREE hours. This would have been a weekend project for him. Now he can rest easy knowing his roof is on before winter storms cover it in snow. Once he saw how quickly we got it done, he booked us to get his siding up this weekend!

This project began as a straightforward cedar siding repair with some new metal fascia, followed by a fresh coat of paint. But as is often the case with older buildings, once we got into it, we uncovered years of neglect. What started as a small repair turned into replacing nearly 80% of the cedar siding, along with large sections of the rotted OSB underneath.

Now it’s done and it looks amazing. A big transformation for a beautiful old building, and definitely something South Haven can be proud of.

We're Hiring – Exterior Construction Team Member

West Michigan ROOFIT/BUILDIT is growing and looking for a skilled Exterior Construction Team Member to join our crew!

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in exterior construction (siding, roofing, framing, etc.)

Comfortable working at heights and in a lift up to 60 feet

Strong understanding of construction safety practices

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs

Team-focused with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Preferred (but not required):

Experience with wood siding installations

Lift certification

Basic tool knowledge and own hand tools
