We ran into a thermal management issue on our 1938 Chevy truck project with the newly dropped 355 engine. Upgrade to a modern serpentine drive system created a tight clearance issue—meaning the traditional mechanical engine fan couldn't fit without hitting the radiator, causing the engine to overheat.
We solved it with a custom electric fan setup, providing maximum airflow, precise temperature control, and a clean install.

Time to swap rigs and get ready for winter! Caveman Joe is at the helm loading up the 1948 Farmall Cub, shifting over from the 1936 Chevy truck to the winter truck.
The winter rig is officially out on its maiden voyage with all the new upgrades installed—featuring a fresh Chevy 350 engine and a new triple-disk lockup converter in the transmission. She’s running strong and ready to roll!

Out on Grand Island getting some work done! Caveman Joe is behind the wheel drilling 14-inch and 18-inch holes down to 4 feet deep. The ground out here is rock hard and definitely needs some rain, but the rig is making short work of it.

We always put safety first, which is why we strictly follow Dig Safely / 811 laws to get line locates before bringing out the heavy machinery. By law, utility companies are required to locate underground lines within 3 business days.
We gave National Fuel 5 full days to locate lines for our upcoming job. After waiting, we’ve already had to delay our work by a day—and now we’re told they still might not even be out tomorrow.
Here’s the frustrating reality: if an underground line ever gets hit, emergency crews can arrive at a job site within an hour. But when an independent small business tries to do everything by the book and requests a locate well in advance, we end up losing days of work and income that we can never recover.
How would National Fuel like it if they were told to take multiple days off without pay simply because someone else "didn't have time" for them?
Small businesses run on schedule, precision, and hard work. Delays like this don't just stall a machine—they hurt local business owners, our crews, and the customers waiting on their projects.
