Happy Boss’s Day to the man, the myth, the legend… MIKE!

Some bosses lead from behind a desk. Ours prefers to manage things remotely from his second office, where the meetings are long and the refreshments are cold.

When he’s not busy with his very demanding executive schedule, you might even catch him at hard at work around town! Thanks for keeping us employed, entertained, and occasionally supervised! 🤣

Happy Boss’s Day, Mike! We wouldn’t trade ya… well, depends on the offer….. 🤣

Even the pest control office isn’t safe!

We had an unexpected eight-legged visitor stop by the MDM office today!

👀 Have you noticed more spiders lately? You’re not imagining things!

Fall is one of the busiest times of year for spider sightings here in Nebraska!

🍂 Here’s why:
🕸️ Many spiders are fully grown and easier to spot.
🕷️ Male spiders are on the move looking for mates.
🏠 Spiders are often found wherever other insects are plentiful.

So while everyone else is enjoying pumpkin spice season, we’re dealing with SPIDER season! 🎃

We aren’t called the Cornhusker State for nothing!

As Nebraska farmers begin harvesting and putting up grain, mice displaced from the fields start searching for new sources of food and shelter. Grain bins, barns, shops, machine sheds, and other farm buildings can quickly become attractive places for them to settle in.

Mice can contaminate stored grain and animal feed, damage packaging, build nests inside equipment, and chew through wiring. That makes harvest season an important time to check for droppings, gnaw marks, nesting material, and possible entry points.

Don’t let mice enjoy the results of your hard work. Contact MDM Pest & Termite Control for professional rodent control and help protecting your agricultural property.

Is your home accidentally inviting mice inside???

As fall approaches and temperatures begin to drop, mice start searching for food, water, warmth, and shelter and even a tiny opening may be enough to let them in.

A recent Real Simple article highlights several things that can make your home attractive to mice:

🏠 Gaps around doors, vents, pipes, and garages
🍞 Crumbs and improperly stored food
📦 Cardboard boxes and clutter
🌿 Tall grass or debris near the foundation
💧 Leaky pipes and standing water

Mice can contaminate food, damage belongings, and chew on materials inside your home. If you’ve noticed droppings, scratching noises, gnaw marks, or other signs of activity, don’t wait for the problem to grow.

Contact MDM Pest & Termite Control for professional rodent control and prevention!

Ant activity may be sticking around longer this year!

According to the National Pest Management Association’s latest Bug Barometer®, continued heat could lead to increased ant activity throughout our region and those unwanted visitors may remain active well into late fall.

As outdoor conditions become less favorable, ants often move indoors searching for food, water, and shelter. Once they establish a trail into your home or business, getting rid of only the ants you can see usually won’t eliminate the colony.

If you begin noticing ants in kitchens, bathrooms, around windows, or along foundations, don’t wait for the problem to grow. Let the professionals at MDM Pest & Termite Control help keep your property protected!

📞 Call us today to schedule your ant treatment!

The association is predicting a warm fall and winter for much of the continental U.S. this year.
