🏠 WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR HOME, HIRING LOCAL MATTERS.

After storms or during busy construction seasons, it’s common to see out-of-town companies come into the area looking for work. While that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a bad company, there’s one important question every homeowner should ask:

Will they still be here when I need them?

A warranty is only as valuable as the company standing behind it.

When you hire a local contractor, you’re choosing a company that plans to continue working, living, and building its reputation right here in your community. If you ever have a question, concern, or need something looked at down the road, you’re not trying to track down a company that has already moved on to the next town.

At Top Tier Seamless Gutters, we stand behind our workmanship and the products we install. We’re right here in Western Colorado, which means our customers can count on having a local company they can actually reach long after the job is finished.

Before choosing a contractor, don’t just compare the price on the estimate. Ask about their warranty, how warranty concerns are handled, and most importantly — who will be here to honor it?

📍 Hire local.
🤝 Support local.
🏡 Choose a company that plans to be here for the long haul.

🏠 DO I REALLY NEED GUTTERS ON MY HOME?

It’s a question we hear more often than you might think — and honestly, if you’ve never had an issue with water around your home, you may wonder what gutters are even doing up there.

The simple answer: gutters help control where thousands of gallons of water go as it runs off your roof. 🌧️

Without gutters and properly placed downspouts, rain and melting snow can fall directly around your home, which over time can contribute to:

💧 Water pooling around your foundation
🏡 Soil erosion around your home
🌱 Washed-out landscaping
🧱 Water staining or damage to siding
🚪 Water collecting near walkways, patios, and entrances
⚠️ Moisture problems around foundations and basements

Here in Grand Junction, this can be especially important. Our hot, dry weather can cause certain clay soils to dry out and contract. Then, when we get one of our heavy rainstorms, that soil is suddenly exposed to a lot of water. Repeated changes in moisture can cause some soils to expand and contract, putting additional stress on your foundation over time.

That’s why gutters aren’t just for looks — or just for keeping water off your head when you walk through the front door. 😉 They’re a relatively simple part of your home that can help protect some of the most expensive parts of it.

🌧️ FUN FACT: Just 1 inch of rain on a 2,000 sq. ft. roof produces roughly 1,250 gallons of water! 🤯

After all the rain we got yesterday, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to show just how much water your gutters actually handle.

This gutter doesn’t have its downspout installed yet, so you can see all that water pouring directly from the outlet. Now imagine that amount of water coming off your roof and collecting around your foundation.

That’s why properly installed gutters and downspouts are so important. They don’t just keep rain from pouring off your roof — they collect that water and direct it away from your home, helping protect your foundation, landscaping, and siding while reducing pooling, erosion, and potential water damage.

Yesterday’s storm definitely put gutters to the test!
