Job Title: Residential Carpenter/Handyman
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Residential Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and general handyman services, with the ability to tackle a variety of tasks in residential settings. From framing and trim work to repairs and installations, this role requires versatility, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform a wide range of carpentry and renovation tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, drywall and finishing, ceramic tile, and shower/tub installation.
2. Install doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision and attention to detail.
3. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions to accurately complete projects.
4. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
5. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
6. Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress updates to supervisors and clients.
7. Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions to meet client needs.
8. Uphold a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a carpenter or handyman in residential construction or remodeling projects.
2. Proficiency in carpentry techniques such as framing, trim work, and cabinetry installation.
3. Strong knowledge of residential construction materials, methods, and tools.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
7. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
