Currently seeking experienced Carpenters (Rough and Finish) to add to our team. We service Grand Junction and the surrounding area. Interested candidates should have at least 2+ years of construction experience and basic hand tools for apprentices, hand, and power tools for the journeyman level. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a very good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle if needed.

Responsibilities of the Carpenter

• Responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures
• Work with blueprints, specifications, and drawings
• Inspect work to ensure conformity to specifications and work schedules
• Problem solve construction issues
• Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean workspace
• Ensure that safety is paramount on all job sites

** Must be diverse and willing to operate a shovel if needed. **

Requirements for the Carpenter

• 2+ years of construction experience
• Basic hand and power tools
• Experience operating power tools
• Ability to read a tape
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to problem solve construction issues

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Staff support
• Customer service
• Answer and screen telephone calls
• Route telephone calls to appropriate staff member
• Document preparation & submittal
• Data Entry
• Timecard and job-cost entry
• Review and posting of AIA documents, including owner billings and subcontractor applications for payment
• Efficient management of accounts payable, including vendor setups, W-9 and certificate of insurance requirements, job-costing, & lien waivers
• Reconciling vendor statements to accounts payable aging, clean up AP aging regularly
• Analysis of WIP, including job cost variances to job budgets
• Credit card reconciliation
• Preparation and maintenance of a current filing system for each construction project
