Today we’re celebrating National Farm Workers Day and Tater Day 🥔

We want to take a moment to personally thank our employees. Your hard work, dedication, and pride in what you do are what keep everything running day in and day out. From the early mornings to the long hours, your effort does not go unnoticed.

Tater Day is the perfect reminder to celebrate all things potatoes—and don’t forget, potatoes have earned their place on the food pyramid as a staple food that fuels people every day.

Because of you, we’re able to grow, harvest, and deliver a product we’re proud of. You are the backbone of everything we do, and we truly appreciate the commitment you bring to the job every single day.

Thank you for all that you do—we couldn’t do it without you!

Signature Farms traveled back to Baker City, Oregon, for this year’s bull sale, bringing 19 bulls to an event that included 134 bulls and 54 heifers.

The sale was held inside the sale barn using a broadcast format, with cattle shown on screens rather than brought through the ring. Even without the cattle physically in front of buyers, interest remained strong throughout the day.

One Signature Farms bull brought $20,000, marking the highest-selling bull among the age-advantaged division. Overall, the 19 bulls averaged $11,453 — a result that reflects the time, care, and steady work that goes into raising quality cattle long before sale day arrives.

This year’s sale was especially meaningful, as it marked Conner’s first year officially serving as the lead cattle manager for Signature Farms. At just 22 years old, Conner, alongside his fiancée Jaden, represented the farm and continued building on the foundation his family has established. He stepped confidently into the responsibility of presenting the cattle and visiting with buyers, and the strong results made it a proud milestone for the next generation of the operation.

Signature Farms also invested back into their own program, purchasing their first-choice yearling herd sire for $38,000 through online bidding. Hearing the auctioneer announce Signature Farms as the new owner was an exciting highlight of the day and a strong investment in the future of the herd.

Beyond the numbers, the trip offered the opportunity to connect with fellow producers and strengthen relationships within the cattle community. Signature Farms would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Thomas Angus Ranch family — including owners Rob and Lori Thomas, as well as Clint — for their partnership, support, and guidance throughout the year. Without that partnership, the quality of the herd and the success seen at this year’s sale would not be possible.

The results in Baker City were more than just a good sale. They marked a meaningful moment for Signature Farms and for us personally as we continue stepping into the future of the operation.

This week, Kyra Bula attended the National Washington Summit in Washington, D.C. with the National Potato Council (NPC) and the Potato Leadership, Education & Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF).

While in D.C., she joined growers, industry leaders, and fellow LEAF participants to meet with policymakers and discuss the key issues impacting the potato industry and agriculture as a whole. From conversations on Capitol Hill to connecting with peers from across the country, the experience highlighted how important it is for industry voices to be part of the national conversation.

In addition to her time in Washington, Kyra also had the opportunity to tour farms in Florida, where she saw cabbage fields firsthand and watched a broccoli harvest in action. Experiencing different growing regions and crops offered valuable perspective on the diversity and hard work that drive American agriculture.

Kyra is grateful for the opportunity to represent her community on a national stage and to continue learning, leading, and advocating for the future of agriculture. 🥔🇺🇸

Swipe to see the progress! 🥔✨
The first picture was taken on November 11th, and the second one is from today — just 30 days apart.

The growth on these potato plants has been incredible! From small starts to full, thriving plants in just one month. All of this is happening right here at our farm in Florida, Mid Florida Farms.

Amazing what 30 days can do! 🌱💚

As we wrap up Small Business Week, it was great to meet with Shawn Bula who owns a potato and vegetable farm alongside his father in Wisconsin.

Small, family-owned farms like theirs are the backbone of our ag industry, and I’ll continue working in Congress to ensure they have the resources they need to feed the nation.
