Today we were able to get the steps in at our Ada site. When discussing the layout with the home owner and the builder I said we are not going to just give you any old porch, we are going to give you something that really shows all the great work done by the builder and I believe we did that! Monday we will pump the 3 stall garage and hopefully get the garage apron in also!

Today our team made it happen! Which started with showing up at site at 6 am this morning for a pump at 7 to get the 24x24 raised house floor poured so the builder can start framing tomorrow and then we were able to grade the new garage floor which is 44’x24’ graded and set 2 drains. This included 12 mil v***r barrier and expansion around the perimeter walls that we will caulk 28 days later and tomorrow they will get the new 2 tier front porch formed and poured. This job is for a new builder that we are working with and needed this done as soon as possible, we are glad we can get this taken care of for them and build a long term relationship with! Huge thanks to Consumers Concrete for always taking great care of us and Lance Terpstra for always taking care of our pump needs!

First we would like to give thanks to our great friends, we personally call them family! In this line of work making connections and willing to grow and always striving to give the best product is everything! Yesterday our good friends Josh Whitfield which drove 6 hours leaving their shop in Indiana and Lugo which drove 5 hours from southern Illinois to help us do our First chip & flake epoxy job and let me tell those guys help us put out a beautiful product! We replaced the garage floor roughly 80 days ago due to the shape of but salvaged the bumper and steps due to a load bearing wall sitting on part of it. Work started at 7am and we wrapped up at 9:30 at night. Now these customers of ours have a garage that will withstand many, many more years to come! We also did it up the walls to really make this place show off all of its characteristics!

As we strive to always take our work to the next level, I can say I believe we did with this project! First we would like to thank all of our past and present customers for having faith with our company! On this compass, which is the first one for us and the first staining we have done, we wanted to take it one step farther. Yesterday before we sealed this last area on the driveway we added glow sand to the letters on the compass to give it a little something extra and we can say we are extremely pleased with the outcome! Huge thanks to Zach Wiseman for always making quick work for getting us materials when needed, Ambient Glow Technology for putting out some of the best products when it comes to glow stones and glow sand and also Solomon Colors Inc for some of the most beautiful colors out there!

Today we were able to get our compass stained up and tomorrow we will seal it up and have one more surprise for this one! We used brick form colors which are magnet, deep sea, sandbank and chestnut! Love how this colors really accent each other including the rock on the house!

As a business owner I don’t think anything is better than networking especially when it comes from another concrete company with over 25 years of being in business! Last week we took the early departure from our shop at 1 am to get to our friends Josh Whitfield with Whitfield Concrete Construction to help them with some of their jobs. We were pouring concrete by 9 am and the knowledge that we learned, you can’t put a price tag on that! From steps, stairs, to stamping, staining and we also were able to do our first time of concrete carving! These guys really do some beautiful working!

Saturdays and Sundays are for checking up on on jobs and sealing! When people ask why are you sealing it, if sealer was in the mix design from the redi mix company and the reason why is because we strive to give our customers the very best product and something that lasts for many years to come! Today we sealed up the driveway and checked on how the grass is coming in! Next week we will stain the compass and then seal the walkway!

Today started off as a early start, as we left Caledonia at 4 am to be in Boyne by 8:30 to help another contractor pour a retaining wall and then stripped and cleaned up 230 feet of sidewalk they poured yesterday!

As we put the final touches on our Campau Lake job, we would personally like to thank the Brown family for putting their trust in our company and letting us give your family something that they can enjoy for many years to come! This job included removing 95 yards of fill, 45 yards of concrete, then installing 45 yards of pea stone for the lower concrete areas due to the high water table, 45 yards of crushed concrete and 30 yards of screened top soil. We installed 91 yards of concrete, 420 feet of expansion that (200 feet already caulked), 200 sticks of number 4 fiberglass rebar 20’ long, 3 cans of sealer and included 200 feet of schedule 40 4” pvc pipe for trench drain and down spouts. Also we regraded the front yard to allow water to drain and this included seed, fertilizer and straw mats. Our team will be back in 30 days to caulk the upper driveway expansion, stain the stamped compass and seal everything up top! Here is a few pictures first of what we started with and some after pictures! Checker board broom has been a very popular request from our customers this year! We would also like to thank so many of our great suppliers including Zach Wiseman at Carroll Supply, Justin Bultsma for always taking care of our material needs, Josh at Airport sand and landscape supply and Consumers Concrete projects like these are not possible without some amazing suppliers!

It seems like everyday this week we have been dodging rain showers and we would like to thank our team for putting in the hours this week in the rain to keep our schedule still moving! Today we were able to get the final section of concrete ready at our Campau Lake job for tomorrow morning. We also regraded the front yard so water will fall away. Then we put down an application of seed and fertilizer with straw mats!
