We would like to take a moment and share some progress on our Campau Lake job! This week the team began phase 2 on our job by removing the existing driveway that had multiple settling issues including water running backwards and concrete lifting that never fixed the issues. We removed the existing concrete that ranged from 3” to 5” thick and also enough foam that could fill a full size trash can. On top of this we removed enough concrete buried underneath the existing driveway to pour a new 20’x20’ concrete pad and 1 abandoned partially collapsed septic tank. Next we removed 10 to 12” inches of fluff sand and brought in 35 yards of crushed concrete for the new base! We will also be regrading the side yard once the new driveway is in. We will start pouring the driveway back Tuesday with new steps and doing our checker board broom finish on the driveway. All the concrete will be 5” thick with number 4 fiberglass rebar 2’ on center on 1.5” rebar chairs with all expansion being caulked 28 days later! We would like to personally thank our team for the hard work this week between the heat and the rain and our customers for putting the faith in our company! Also would like thank Justin Bultsma for always getting us taken care of with the trucking and materials and Airport sand and landscape supply for taking care of us!

This week between dodging rain and storms we were able to prep for a new 8’x14’ patio with a 6’3x16”x7.5” step and also were able to get the garage apron including a little pad along the garage prepped! On this job due to the springs and water table we excavated down 14” for everything and the installed 9” of pea stone for the base. Monday morning we will finish the expansion with cap, v***r barrier and rebar. This site was actually one of our first big job our company did which included a new 37’x10”x9’ retaining wall and patio with a fire pit ring! No better feeling for a business owner than having return customers! Huge thanks to Sam John with Waste Recovery Systems Inc. for getting us a hydro vac truck last minute, Justin Bultsma for the topsoil delivery and Airport aggregate and landscape supply for the pea stone delivery!

We have completed the lower area for our customer on Campau lake! This job included the homeowner removing 2’ of peat moss for a 60’x15’ patio which included 28’x15’ at 5” thick and the remaining 32’x15’ at 6” thick with 7 sono tubes set at 10”x16” where the new supports will be going for there! We brought in 56 yards of pea stone due to the high water table. We also excavated for a new trench drain in front of the lower garage and also removed a section of garage floor that was 27’x6’3 due to another company lifting it twice but never did anything for the issue they were having. Every has a minimum of 10” of pea stone for the base, a 12 mil v***r barrier due to the moisture and number 4 fiberglass rebar 1’ on center on 2” rebar chairs, also buried both down spouts with 4” scheduled 40 pvc pipe. Everything has a coat of cure & seal sealer on it and 28 days later we will caulk all the hard expansion and put a final of sealer on everything. We also brought in 12 yards of screened top soil to back fill and next week we will take sand from the driveway to bring up grade in the back and then the customer can spread a few inches of top soil on everything. Next week will start on replacing the driveways! We would like to thank so many companies that help make this possible from trucking materials, to our concrete supply stores, our good friend lance always taking care of our pumping needs and Consumers Concrete for always the great service. Here is a picture of before the homeowner started removing the deck and existing patio. Also that checker board broom finish on the patio🙌🏻

Things are moving right along on our Campau lake jobsite! In the last 3 days we have brought in 50 yards of pea stone and removed additionally 8 yards of peat moss that was the original base! The home owner helped us by removing the first 16 inches of old base. In the last 3 days we have been grading which includes on average 16 inches of pea stone for the 59’x15’ patio. Then we removed 25’x5’6 section of lower garage floor that another company tried lifting it with foam but never worked out very well. Tomorrow our team will be forming the trench drain in front of the garage with a small apron, put up expansion and get everything ready to start pouring Tuesday next week!

The last 2 days our team has been busy getting jobs completed! Yesterday started with a 10’x28’ garage apron because in 2 short weeks they will be replacing the streets and driveways with new asphalt! Then we headed to our lake front job to start prepping it for a new patio 60’x15’, lower garage floor section replacement and a trench drain! Today we started bringing the patio up to grade with 35 yards of peastone! Plus the boss ( my wife ) made some supply runs for our company to keep us on schedule!
