The Garden Genie, LLC - Kimberly Bronkema Landscape design & installtion, maintenance (w**ding and perennial dividing), custom containers, edging installation, pruning, spring and fall clean-up

The Garden Genie sprouted in 2010 with a desire to assist individuals in giving their landscape a makeover. My motto is "The Garden Genie ... granting your landscaping wishes." Years prior to this I was working at a greenhouse and found that many customers loved plants but just didn't know what plants would grow well in their yard or how to arrange the plants in their new landscape. After doing th

is for a few years I saw a real need for customers who needed help with either a design, a "re-arrangement", or just a whole new makeover. This did not always require hiring a big landscape company because they were just small jobs. This is what inspired me to start my own business because no job was too big or too small for me! Customer satisfaction and attention to detail are my main focus when starting a job. It is a running joke with my customers that once they hire me, its hard to get rid of me. You never know when the Genie will appear from year to year checking on the landscapes making sure they look in tip top shape. If I see an issue I will let you know! My landscapes are landscapes for life unless you choose to be left alone. I also specialize in doing custom containers in the spring, using your pots and filling them. I can also alter them in the fall and winter for seasonal interest. We also do hand w**ding in your beds on a yearly or monthly basis. It is difficult to find a company that will hand w**d as opposed to spraying w**ds. Bush and tree pruning are also services we provide as well as spring and fall clean-up. We also install metal edging, decorative retaining walls and decorative vinyl fencing. Our goal is to grant any landscaping wish you desire and to make it look better than you could have imagined! I am not happy until you are happy!

"As promised... this is a way to garden without digging up your yard... or if you have no yard. What I love about this idea is that it is great for tomatoes that normally need plenty of space for roots to grow! Don’t forget your drainage holes!" via Letty Cherry Kreger

A fun idea for your kids or yourself if you are home bound! Why not start some flower or vegetable seeds! All you need is a solo cup, some dirt, and seeds. Make sure your growing container has draining holes! Most seeds get planted just underneath the soil. They do like light so think about under a counter top because they do need constant light during that germination period. It also helps in the beginning to cover the container with saran wrap for that "greenhouse effect". I typically water the soil by misting with a spray bottle. Typically they will be ready to plant in the ground by Memorial Day so now is a great time to get them started! Do some google research and see what works for you! Tomatoes, Peppers, Zinnias, Basil, Spinach, Marigolds....these are some that are relatively easy to grow. Have questions? I'd be more that willing to help! Happy growing!
