In 1981, Gene and Gloria Birt had a dream to open their own electrical business after the time that Gene had worked as an electrician at the Hanna Mine, J&L, and Butler Taconite. The business was established as Gene's Electric with Gene, Gloria, and son Brian building the business from scratch and hard work.
