We are proud to share our talented leader Ryan LaHaie and our team at 42 North have brought home 10 awards from this year's 2026 American Residential Design Awards event. In fact, in the past 30 years, the board members shared they have never seen 3 Grand ARDA's given in a row, but Ryan set this record. What an amazing accomplishment!

We are happy to share our returning intern, Axel. This is his 3rd summer with us as he works through his master’s in Architecture at University of Michigan. It has been a great joy to see Axel’s growth and development as he continues to sharpen his skills. He has been an excellent fit to our team.

Here are few fascinating tidbits about Axel:

My favorite place to eat: “I love tacos and enjoy trying new places around west Michigan to see who has the best tacos. That being said, I don’t have one favorite place to eat but rather I enjoy trying new places all the time”.

My Favorite place I visited/toured/vacationed: “I really loved Xilitla, Mexico. A small town in the middle of the Mexican rainforest. It is covered with natural beauty and amazing foods”.
