Today we celebrate 125 years of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)!

For 125 years, NECA has been the driving force behind advancing the electrical construction industry through education, advocacy, labor relations, safety, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Since 1901, NECA has helped shape the professionals and companies responsible for powering America's homes, hospitals, schools, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and critical infrastructure.

At Max Electric, Inc., our NECA membership is far more than a logo on our website and submittals—it's an investment in our people and our future.

Max Electric is proud to have worked with Mega KC to bring the Kansas City International Airport's vision of the cell phone parking lot with all of the necessary amenities. Another major item the city did not have previously to enhance the front door of our beautiful Kansas City!

At Max Electric, we're proud to recognize Josiah Garcia, a 4th Year Apprentice who has been an important part of our team for nearly four years.

One of Josiah's favorite things about the electrical trade is that there's always something new to learn. That mindset has helped him gain valuable hands-on experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work while continuously developing his skills and knowledge.

Josiah has earned a reputation for being dependable, hardworking, and eager to take on new challenges. His positive attitude and willingness to learn make him a valued member of the Max Electric family and position him for a bright future in industrial process controls.

When he's not on the jobsite, you'll likely find him on the disc golf course or spending time with his family.

The award is given to businesses that are exemplary in their partnership with Acuity Insurance to help ensure a safe workplace. We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Mega KC on the new Kansas City International Airport Cell Phone Parking lot project.

This newly completed, well-lit parking facility includes a restroom building equipped with a comprehensive security and camera system. Max Electric partnered with Staco Electric Construction Co. to help bring these improvements to life.

The facility also features three ChargePoint Level 3 DC fast chargers for EV drivers. Unlike typical Level 2 chargers, these high-speed chargers utilize liquid-cooled charging cables that help manage heat in the conductors, allowing vehicles to charge significantly faster and making travel more convenient for EV drivers.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of another project that enhances the experience for travelers arriving at and departing from Kansas City International Airport. Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering another great project for the Kansas City Community to showcase prior to the FIFA World Cup!

We’re nearing completion on our Kansas City International Airport Cell Phone Lot Project. As Kansas City navigates the increase in visitors with the World Cup, the new cell phone lot will ease the flow of traffic at MCI. The new lot features a restroom facility, street lighting, and security.

This morning was another great reminder of the value that our local construction industry organizations bring to our community.

Thank you to the The Builders AGC for hosting their Builders Excellence Awards (BEA) at The Bardot . Great venue, good conversations, and opportunities to connect with fellow industry professionals are what help strengthen our construction community.

It was especially meaningful to reflect on one of our recent accomplishments while attending. Max Electric was honored to receive the BEA Award in the Subcontractor Under $500,000 category for our work on the City of Leawood, KS Government's Reaching Sculpture project. Recognition like this is a testament to the craftsmanship, dedication, and pride our team brings to every project.

Congratulations to all of the award winners and runners up that deserve recognition with us. Thank you again to the The Builders AGC and their staff for continuing to create opportunities that celebrate excellence and bring our industry together.

Participating in AGC's Specialty Contractor Committee, Max Electric furthered it's knowledge on supply chain management, the true cost of tariffs, market segment spending, and workforce development. AGC continues to deliver value that strengthens our industry! Max Electric, Inc. wants to send out a special Thank you to The Builders AGC for our regional dinner making new local connections as well!
