Sparta has kept us busy this week, onto rockford now

Wrapped up this elm in Sparta this morning just ahead of the next round of storms moving in.
These are the ones you don’t want to wait on—dead limbs and weak tops can turn into a real problem once the wind starts pushing.

People always ask what we do with all the wood chips 🌲

If we’re close to home or only have one load, we haul them back to the yard and pile them up. Over time they break down into good black dirt.

We mix that in with what we clean out of the goat pens and spread it back onto the field. Hoping to turn it into solid pasture ground down the road.
