We've been busy with Spring cleanups, freshening up flower beds with new mulch, putting in new shrubs and plants, and fertilizing & aerating lawns, as well as regular mowing and trimming. Now's the perfect time to trim back over grown crepe myrtles, as well as Liriope/ Monkey Grass, Butterfly Bush, and certain types of rose bushes. It's also a good time to put new mulch or pine straw in your flower beds, and the perfect time to put in new flower beds and plant shrubs and trees before the heat of spring and summer get here. Give us a call and we'd love to come out and talk about what you need done.

Prayers for the safety and well being of all those in the path of hurricane Dorian. Lord watch over us all and keep us safe from harm. In Eastern NC, prayers for our family and loved ones, Rhonda's Pamlico Community College work family, our church family, our neighbors, our C&R Lawn customers, my DC Low Carb/Keto members, our first responders, LEOs, Firefighters, city, town, and state workers required to be on the job, and all the medical personnel who have to stay on duty. God bless us all and let there be no loss of life and no catastrophic damage. In Jesus' name we pray- Amen!

It's been a long, hot summer y'all and it's only half over! It's been very dry this year, except for those occasional heavy rains we've had but the water from them disappears fast! If you cut your own lawn, remember to mow high while it's so hot and keep your blades sharp. Water your lawn when it's extremely dry if you are able. Shrubs can be trimmed now, you just don't want to do an extreme cut unless they are very overgrown. Otherwise, schedule a heavy trim for early fall. If you didn't put in fresh mulch during spring, now is the perfect time to add it. Not only does it look great, it helps retain moisture around your plants and shrubs. And it's still a great time to put in sod if your lawn needs an overhaul or is a brand new lawn. Call us today for your free estimate!
