Everyone wants the dramatic before-and-after renovation, but sometimes the smartest upgrades are the ones that improve how your home looks and functions every day.
If we had $10,000 to spend on a typical home, we'd focus on the changes that create the biggest impact without tearing everything apart.
Which upgrade would you choose first? 👇🏡✨

From framing to drywall — watching a space come together never gets old 🔨
What started as just studs and a vision is now beginning to feel like a real living space. There’s still more to come with paint, flooring, and final finishes, but seeing the progress at this stage is always exciting.
Every project starts somewhere, and we love helping bring these spaces to life 🏡

The upgrades that get the most attention aren’t always the ones that get you the highest sale price

It’s the ones that make a home feel solid, intentional, and easy to step into without a long to do list

From a construction side, that means focusing on how a home actually lives day to dayFrom a real estate side, that’s exactly what buyers are picking up on when they walk through

They might not be able to call out what’s different, but they feel itAnd that feeling is what drives stronger offers and cleaner deals

The goal isn’t just to make a home look better, it’s to make it feel finished in a way buyers are willing to pay for

If you’re thinking about updating before selling or just want to be smart with where you put your money, this is where it matters most

This is one of those fixes that doesn’t feel exciting… until you see what happens without it

Water pooling around the barn, flooding along the base, and nowhere for it to go. That’s how you end up with damage you didn’t plan for and problems that keep getting worse

So Deseret Peak Homes added rain gutters and downspouts to move water away from the structure instead of letting it sit, cause issues, and impact the animals

It’s a simple change, but it protects the building and keeps everything working the way it should

The best upgrades aren’t always the flashiest. They’re the ones that make your space last

Most of the time, it’s not about needing a bigger house. It’s about a house that actually works for how you live.

We see it all the timeKitchens that feel cramped even when they’re not smallBasements that sit unfinished instead of creating real valueLayouts that technically have space… but none of it functions well

That’s where we come in

We look at how you’re actually using your home, then redesign it to make sense for your day-to-day. Better flow, smarter storage, spaces that serve a purpose instead of just filling square footage

Because the goal isn’t just more spaceIt’s space that works

If something in your home feels off, there’s usually a better way to use it. Message us and we’ll help you figure out what that could look like 🤝

Your kitchen shouldn’t be something you work around… it should actually work for you.

If you’re constantly running out of space, avoiding cooking, or feeling like there’s nowhere for people to gather, it’s usually not a “you” problem. It’s the layout, the storage, and how the space functions day to day.

Most people wait way too long because they think it has to be a full, overwhelming remodel. In reality, the biggest difference comes from fixing how the space flows and supports your life.

If this sounds like your kitchen, let’s talk through options.

Finishing your basement before selling can increase your home’s value… but it’s not always the slam dunk people think it is.

The real question isn’t “Will it look better?”
It’s “Will I get my money back?”

In the right neighborhood and price point, a finished basement can:
✔️ Increase usable square footage
✔️ Add a bedroom or bathroom
✔️ Make your home feel complete to buyers
✔️ Help it stand out in a competitive market

But if you’re over-improving or rushing the finish, you could spend $30K–$60K without maximizing your return.
Before you list, make a strategic decision, not an emotional one.

Need help deciding if it’s worth it? And who can do it?
