🔨 BEHIND THE BUILD | A Little Tile, A Lot of Detail

Some of the most impressive parts of a project happen long before the finished room is ready to reveal.

And this is one of those moments. 👀

We're taking you behind the scenes of a shower installation where one of our talented craftsmen has been hard at work bringing this beautiful geometric tile design to life.

At first glance, you might notice the incredible three-dimensional effect created by the pattern. But take a closer look, and you'll begin to appreciate the precision involved.

Every tile placement, every cut, every transition, and every grout line contributes to the overall design. It's the kind of work that requires patience, a steady hand, and an eye for detail. And it's exactly the kind of craftsmanship we're proud to have on our team. ❤️

This shower is still a work in progress, but we couldn't resist sharing a little look behind the build. Because sometimes, the process is just as impressive as the finished product.

What do you think of this geometric tile pattern?

Breakfast nooks are back, and we're loving it. 🏡

There's something special about having a little corner of your home designed for everyday life.

Morning coffee before the house wakes up. Breakfast before school. A spot for homework in the afternoon. A place to catch up with a friend who stopped by just to say hello. A quick weeknight dinner. Or somewhere to sit and talk while someone else is cooking.

Breakfast nooks may be making a comeback in home design, but we think their appeal goes beyond how they look. They're a great example of making a space work harder without necessarily making the home bigger.

Built-in seating can make use of an overlooked corner, provide additional seating, and even create opportunities for hidden storage underneath.

And somehow, a little nook like this can become one of those places everyone naturally gravitates toward. ❤️

You're creating the perfect transition from your home to the backyard, but you can only choose one. 👀

A — French Doors
Classic, timeless, and full of character. French doors create a beautiful transition to an outdoor space while adding an architectural feature of their own.

OR

B — Bi-Fold Glass Doors
Open, modern, and made for indoor-outdoor living. Fold them back, and suddenly your patio feels like an extension of your home.

We're making you choose…
Which are you putting in YOUR home: A or B? 🏡

🍂 Before cold weather arrives, take a walk around your home.
You don't have to be a contractor to notice when something has changed.

A new crack, a loose board, a draft around a window, water pooling where it didn't before, or a gutter that isn't draining properly can all be worth a closer look.

As we head into colder weather, now is a great time to spend a few minutes checking your home's exterior and noting anything that looks different than it did last season.

Sometimes, simply knowing what to look for is the best place to start.

Save this checklist for your fall walk-around and share it with another homeowner who might find it helpful!

What makes a house feel like home?

It's funny, the things we remember most about our homes usually aren't the things we picked from a catalog.

It's the kitchen everyone gathers in, your favorite spot for morning coffee, the table that's seen countless birthdays and holidays, or the doorway where you've watched the kids grow taller.

We spend a lot of time talking about building and remodeling houses. But ultimately, the spaces we create become the backdrop for people's lives.

So we're curious: What's one little thing about YOUR house that makes it feel like home? 🏡

🔨 BEHIND THE BUILD | Addition in Progress

There’s something exciting about this stage of a project.
The finished details aren’t here yet, but the vision is starting to become something you can actually see.

This addition is well underway, with the structure taking shape, windows installed, and work continuing outside as the project moves into its next stages. These are the moments that don’t always make it into the final project photos.

Before the finished walls.
Before the flooring.
Before the fixtures and final details.

There are weeks of planning, building, measuring, preparing, and putting all of the pieces together. And we think this part of the story deserves to be shared, too.

Over the next several weeks, this space will continue to change, and we’re excited to bring you along as it does. Because one of the best parts of what we do is watching something go from an idea to a project in progress to a place someone gets to call home. ❤️

Stay tuned; we’ll be sharing more from this addition as the build continues. 👀

Listen… we get it!

You finish one project, swear you're done for a while… and then somehow another idea finds its way onto the list. 👀

Maybe it's the bathroom you've been wanting to update. The kitchen you've been dreaming about. A new deck. More storage. Or that “someday” project you've been talking about for the last five years.

The truth is, when it's your home, there's always something else you can imagine making a little better.

So tell us, what project keeps finding its way back onto YOUR list?

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Ballinez Construction!

Today, we celebrate the hardworking men and women whose skill, dedication, and determination help build the homes, businesses, and communities around us.

In construction, we're reminded every day that behind every finished project are the people who made it possible, the early mornings, long days, years spent learning a trade, attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in a job well done.

We're especially grateful for our own crew and for the talented tradespeople, suppliers, and professionals we have the opportunity to work alongside. Every set of hands plays a part in taking an idea from plans on paper to something built to last.

To everyone who gets up each day and puts their time, talent, and hard work into what they do, today is for you. We hope you have the opportunity to slow down, spend time with the people you love, and enjoy a well-earned Labor Day.

Happy Labor Day from all of us at Ballinez Construction LLC!

☀️ What’s on Your Home Wish List?

It may be September, but apparently summer didn't get the memo!

With the heat we've been having lately, we're guessing a covered outdoor space might be moving a little higher on a few home wish lists!

There's something pretty great about being able to enjoy your backyard while still having a little shade from the summer sun. And with the right design, a covered porch can become so much more than just a place to sit outside; it can become another living space for your family to enjoy.

The best outdoor spaces aren't just beautiful. They're designed around how you and your family actually want to live in them.

So, let's build your dream porch...
