This old yurt trailer has hauled many yurts all across this beautiful country but today it moved my oldest son out of my house and to the great city of Detroit. There are lots of feelings here today but the most powerful feeling I have is excitement for him, for blazing his own journey ahead in this world.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear friend and former teammate Peter Savoie. Pete was not only a part of the yurt co family but also a friend who shared his love for nature, his wisdom on the trails, and his kindness with everyone he met. We are greatful for the hikes he guided, the wisdom he shared, and the stitches he sewed into the fabric of our yurts and our lives. His spirit will live on here and in the woods. Rest in peace friend. ❤️
