The perks of working in Nevada County- getting to see bears. Our employee came across a cute family of bears this morning on his way to the job site. When he got there he found out the bears visited our clients last night. They broke inside the house and scratched up their brand new cabinet to get to the garbage. If you live in NSJ, keep a lookout for this momma bear and her 2 cubs- they are up to no good 😲

RED FLAG WARNING THIS WEEKEND
There is a lot of discussion of PG&E’s new notification regarding extreme weather conditions and shutting off power. This new program being implemented will turn off power to areas that have a high threat level. There does NOT need to be an active fire in your area. PG&E is expected to pay at least 2.5 billion dollars for last years fires. This new program is an attempt for this not to happen again. It is unknown how often this will happen but if you want to be prepared with a generator, please give us a call. We are currently receiving an increase number of calls for installing a standby generator (usually this happens just before winter). There is a free fire season guide that you can download from Yubanet (link below). Also be sure to register with PG&E for notifications of power being turned off (link below). The picture of the burned manzanita tree was taken in The Deer Creek Falls area. The chain and lock on the gate is still intact- the fire department drove right through the gate. We are at Mother Lode Veterinary this week, working in the cold doing the rough wiring on their new addition. This place is going to be gorgeous. The waiting area has vaulted ceilings with large exposed trusses and a fireplace.

Be safe out there if you have to drive. This picture was taken yesterday by our employee Dylan. If this ever happens to you or you come across an accident like this, call 911 for help. Do not get out of the vehicle or approach it. The live wires could be energizing the ground and wet snow which could potentially electrocute you causing death.
