The town's winter overnight parking ban began November 15th and will remain in effect until March 31st , between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The ban applies to all streets in Great Barrington.

The overnight parking ban ensures safe passage for plows during storms. Violators will be ticketed and cars parked on the street during these hours will be towed.

Overnight parking is permitted in several downtown parking lots, including the Town Hall lot (please remove your vehicle by 8:00 am), Railroad Street's upper lot, the Castle Street lot, and at the Mason Library. Signs will be installed in these areas indicating that overnight parking is allowed.

Here's what those so-called 'flushable' wipes do to sewer pumps. When the pump's clogged its not pumping away the wastewater...

Since my now teenage boys were in strollers, our family has come home to watch our father George Salvato march w/ his fellow Vets & local volunteer firefighters in the Housatonic parade.There is a beautiful memorial ceremony in the St. Bridget cemetery immediately following the short parade.Hope to see you there on Monday @ 9:00 am!
