In 1976, Dennis Carson and Larry Vogt launched their small insulation business in Ellinwood, Kansas. In the late 70’s, Dennis assumed full operational responsibilities for the company. Over the past 30+ years, C & V has expanded their product line to include a full range of external home improvement services. In 2010, Dennis announced his retirement to allow he and his wife, Darla, the opportunity

to spend more time with their children and grandchildren, to be more active in their church, and to pursue a full range of hobbies. Matt and his wife, Mary, are both natives of Russell County and have two children. Talk about a patio transformation!!
This customer originally had a traditional W-Pan patio cover installed years ago, but after hail damage, it was time for an upgrade.

-New insulated patio cover in sandstone
-Cooler in the summer & quieter during rain
-More durable and hail-resistant
-Added a “fan beam” for wiring and a ceiling fan
-Moved the posts into the yard for 32 extra square feet of usable patio space
-The new insulated top also includes matching gutters and leaf guards—meaning no more climbing up to clean debris or deal with weeds growing on top.-
Add in the mounted TV, and this patio officially became an outdoor living space.

This upgrade completely changed the look, comfort, and functionality of the backyard—and we love how it turned out.

Happy Work-a-versary, Chad R.!

Some people leave and never come back.

Chad R. left... looked around... and came back anyway.

That either says a lot about us... or a lot about Chad's decision-making skills.

Chad R. originally joined the C&V crew on July 11, 2012, took a little detour, and then made his triumphant return on June 3, 2024.

Now here we are celebrating 2 years since his return, and we're pretty glad he found his way back home.

Over the years, Chad R. has become a valued part of the team, helping us serve customers, tackle projects, and keep things moving forward every day.

As we celebrate 50 years of C&V Kansas Doors, we're reminded that great companies are built by great people—and we're fortunate to have Chad as one of them.

🚨 Parking Lot Duck Update 🚨

With all the wonderful rain we've had lately, our famous parking lot ducks have apparently expanded their services...

This week, visitor Mike F. and his adorable Yorkie stopped by, and we're pretty sure the little pup was convinced it was time for a duck boat ride. 🦆🐶

The ducks were floating.
The water was perfect.
The temptation was real.

Thankfully, our rubber feathered friends remained safely on patrol, keeping watch over the parking lot as they always do.

For those new around here, our ducks are kind of a big deal. They've become local celebrities, photo models, conversation starters, and occasional attempted kidnapping victims.

Which brings us to our friendly reminder:
-Please admire the ducks.
-Take pictures of the ducks.
-Laugh at the ducks.
-Tell your friends about the ducks.
But DO NOT steal the ducks. 😄

Trust us—we watch them like hawks. And yes, there are cameras.

Back in 1976…
The United States was celebrating 200 years
The Grand Hyatt Hotel was going up in New York
Blake Shelton, Peyton Manning, and Reese Witherspoon were just getting started …and apparently, so was Matt — at the impressive age of 5.
Fast forward 50 years…
Styles have changed.
Technology has changed.
But one thing hasn’t: doing the job right.

Today we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today—and it’s something we should never take for granted.
As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, we do so in remembrance of those who made it possible.
