Over saturation is a thing. If your home floods, it is preventable with maintenance, new designs, relocating sprinklers, and proper soil-rock depths at the bottom of the window wells and a 3" lip, gutters extended away from the property structures...

Over the next week, wet weather is going to come in. As we saw years ago, these storms bring a massive amount of rain at once. The typical window well, AC bases, gutter downspouts and landscaping at the base of your home has to have mitigation in place.
-Gutters cleared.
-Gutter downspout extensions put down
-Window wells dug out
-Window wells inches above ground
-Proper grade angle away from the building
-Do you need sandbags in places to direct water
-Are you aware of over saturation and how it can come up under your foundation and into your basement through the Cove Joint
-Are you aware that white powdery residue, known as efflorescence, this white, chalky deposit on the wall is a classic sign of water seeping through seams and leaving minerals behind as it evaporates, Cold Joint leaks
