Happy National Energy Efficiency Day! 💡⚡ Heating your home accounts for almost 45% of your winter utility bill. Want to keep those costs down without freezing?

Here are 3 quick, low-cost ways to boost your home’s efficiency today:
🔹 Reverse your ceiling fans: Run them clockwise on low to push rising warm air back down into your living space.
☀️ Solar heating: Open south-facing blinds during the day to let natural sunlight heat your rooms for free!
🔸 Upgrade your control: A programmable smart thermostat can cut heating costs by up to 10-12% a year.

The first true freeze of the season is just around the corner, Weld County! 🥶🍂 Before you crank your furnace up for the night, did you remember to give it a quick test run?

👃 The 'First Burn' Smell: A faint dusty smell for 10 minutes is normal as old dust burns off the burners. A strong, lingering, or metallic smell is NOT, turn it off and call us!

🔊 Listen Close: Banging, squealing, or scraping noises mean a belt or motor needs attention before it snaps completely.

Don't wait until you're shivering under three blankets! Call McCreery & Sun at 970-339-5740 to lock in your fall heating tune-up.

45° in the morning, 85° in the afternoon... welcome to Shoulder Season! 🥶🔥

Colorado fall weather is notorious for extreme temperature swings. Managing your home comfort without causing your energy bill to spike can feel like a full-time job right about now!

3 tips to master the transition:
🧠 Set-It-and-Forget-It: Avoid turning your system completely off during hot afternoons and blasting the heat at night. Extreme adjustments force your system to work harder.
📱 Use a Smart Thermostat: Program a smooth schedule or use "Auto Mode" to switch between heat and cool without lifting a finger.
💨 Manage Natural Air: Open windows during cool mornings, but shut blinds on west-facing windows by 1:00 PM to block peak solar heat.

Need help upgrading to a programmable smart thermostat before winter? Give McCreery & Sun a call today! 🌡️

Fun Fact Friday: This wasn’t primitive... it was physics! 🧪🌬️

Before central AC, hanging wet sheets over open windows was the ultimate summer hack! As dry wind passed through the damp fabric, evaporation would cool the incoming breeze by up to 20°F. 💧

It was the original "swamp cooler," long before electricity took over the job.

While the physics behind evaporative cooling hasn't changed, the technology certainly has! Thankfully, McCreery & Sun is here to keep your home comfortable at the press of a button—no wet laundry required. 😉👍

Have a fantastic weekend, Greeley! ☀️
