Just finished this batch of boards. They are different this time in that I started with cherry lumber for the base instead of walnut. There are pictures boards from a previous batch using walnut for reference. Most of the trays are around 17-18 inches long and roughly 12 inches wide. They are all a little different. Some have handles and some don’t. I can add handles to the ones that don’t have them. These are all for sale. Message me if you are interested.

Just finished this project and happy with how it turned out. This desk is not my design and is one of the few times I’ve followed plans. I did add my own spin and installed hidden wireless charging as well as a charging bank in the back of one of the drawers. Each drawer also includes soft-close drawer slides so it looks nice and is very functional. The drawers are made from cherry, which I think contrasts nicely with walnut, which is what the rest of the desk it made from.

The end of a project is always bitter sweet. On one hand, seeing an image in my mind and making it a reality is the best part of creating these custom pieces of furniture. On the other hand, I always had something to occupy my mind for the past two months and that part is finished for this project. I tend to design my projects as I build, which really bites me in the ass at times but allows me to get really creative at the same time.

I made this desk primarily for my wife who loves to craft but since moving here doesn’t have a good spot. It’ll also double as a work station on work from home days. Features include hidden wireless charging, motion sensored lights for the utensil storage, and full extension wings on the sides for extra work space. The extension wings also have drawers. Sort of a drawers within a drawer kind of thing. Everything you see is made from solid walnut. I like the classic look and feel but it’s also packed with features at the same time.

New batch of boards all wrapped up. In some of these I used a new wood to me called tiger wood. Take a look at the first two boards to see what it looks like. Sort of gives off fall vibes. I’ve gotten feedback that no handles tend to be preferred so I switched it up and made all of these handle-less.

A bought this chunk of walnut about 4 years ago with this project in mind. I finally got around to it this past week. Epoxy is messy.

Just refinished this coffee table. It was my first major epoxy project and also my first shot at inlay bow ties.

It took me a while finish these and even longer to get around to posting them but these really did come out great. I’ve been experimenting with different accent colors and patterns. If you are wondering, I get all my lumber from Bay Ridge Plywood & Supply. They have such an awesome selection of lumber that will meet the needs of any project. Anything woodworking, this is the place to go.
