A customer's Pinterest inspired dream came true. What used to be a door for a small pantry is now a functional bookshelf that still opens like a door!

Out with the new and in with the old! This room is an addition to the house and had a low quality bamboo flooring that was higher than the rest of the 1930 oak hardwood. Three layers of underlayment and subfloor plywood was removed, the floor joists were lowered so the new subfloor matched the height. The annoying return vent was also removed from the main walkway and the hardwood patched in. We were able to find hardwood flooring from the same decade. Once sanded and finished, this room should feel like it's original to the home, not an after thought.
