Worked at a home this week that’s getting staged and ready to go on the market. I painted the oak bathroom cabinets/vanity in Sherwin-Williams White Duck using the Emerald Eurethane line of paint in satin finish.
Then I painted the lower half below the chair rail in foyer and dining room to match the upper half. The lower half was done in a tan, so i used Sherwin Williams Cashmere line in the color Crème which is the color on the top half.
Whoever painted the wall before got the tan paint all over the baseboard and I couldn’t leave it like that, so I repainted/cut in the top of the baseboard for clean crisp line.
I also paint the front door from red to Tricorn black which is also a Sherwin Williams color.
Now the front entry has a striking front door and entryway when you walk in. Painting the walls all the same color makes the room seem bigger.
I’m sure this home won’t be on the market long.

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to thank each and every client that allowed me to transform their kitchen cabinetry this year. I love what I do , which makes it not seem like work. The end result is so rewarding.
Here are some cabinets I completed several weeks ago, just in time for their family to be surprised when they visited for the holidays.
When your clients own their own cabinet business, but entrust you to transform their cabinets, you know you have to deliver. This was a big kitchen. I completed their kitchen cabinets, 2 bathroom vanities and laundry room cabinets, in 10 days, leaving their kitchen clean and totally accessible for every day use during the process.

When it was all complete, they loved them and said how impressed they were, that it’s all done with a 4 inch roller, which makes my heart happy. .

If you are planning your projects for 2026, be sure to add refreshing your kitchen cabinets to the list, then message me for a FREE quote.

Thank you always for the kind words and support.

As you gear up for the holiday decorating season, wanted to share a few ideas and tips with you.
Every year after Christmas I always check clearance for ornaments that I can use the following year. I’ve had some of the same ornaments on my tree for 10 years.
I also I try to buy a few new ones each year.
Walmart has a great selection of ornaments. I always check there first as soon as they out them out.
This box of 4 red felt ornaments were 8.00 Walmart. They came in every color imaginable.
I got these pink and red striped ornaments last year at Walmart. I bought 3 at the beginning of the holiday season. And then after Christmas, they were on clearance for 2.00, so I bought 5 more.
These red bows are actually hair bow clips for your hair. When Big Lots went out of business, I got them on clearance for .25 cents each. Bows were big last year in decorating, so I new I could use the somewhere. So before you go buy a 15.00 roll of ribbon somewhere, check the hair accessory section at hobby lobby or Walmart. If you are needing just one bow, you might find one you can use for 3.00 or 4.00.

These hanging snowflakes are very inexpensive. You get a pack of 3 for 3.50 Hobby Lobby . I hang them from the ceiling and I also stick them in my tree. They make a great filler if you have an empty space in your tree.

This white bow garland I got lobby for 5.00. It was in the fall section and I knew it would be perfect for my fireplace.

Pillow covers…. Before you spend 19.99 or 24.99 on a pillow from a high end retailer, check Amazon.com. You can get a pack of 2 or sometimes 4 pillow covers for 9.99-14.00. I always get the 18x18.
I use the same pillows all year to stuff my seasonal pillow covers. If you check Walmart, they will have their outdoor summer pillows on clearance for 1.00 or 2.00. They make great pillows to stuff your Amazon pillow covers.

And greenery… you can go to anywhere that sells real trees. Lowe’s, or a local tree stand, and they will gladly let you have leftover trimmings from where they trim trees. You can use these to fill a wood bowl with some ornaments, or a vase.
They make your house smell wonderful.

So just a few ideas to help you stretch your holiday decorating budget.

And I also decorate Christmas trees if you are interested, just shoot me a message.

They will be installing hardware on the cabinets soon.
We used Sherwin-Williams Emerald Eurethane in satin finish in the color Sh*take. It’s a light neutral beige that pairs beautifully with the white quartz counters.
I always enjoy posting the before and after pics to see the transformation.

Here is a kitchen that was finished up a few weeks ago.
The exterior hinges were removed, holes filled in and sanded and new, hidden, soft close hinges were added to the cabinets, giving the kitchen a modern updated look.
The cabinets were painted in Sherwin-Williams, Rivers Edge, in the Emerald Eurethane line in satin finish. So excited for first time homeowner Katelynn. Many wishes for memories to be made in your new home.

Here is a big transformation I did on this kitchen a few weeks ago in Springfield. The cabinets had been painted a few years ago in a dark grey with a brown glaze, but the paint was starting to chip in several places.
The homeowner decided she wanted to lighten up the kitchen.
I lightly sanded the doors and base cabinets to get rid of any rough gritty spots, then applied a coat of bonding primer, before applying the paint.
And in the process of picking out a warm white/offwhite, I also updated the hinges. I removed the exterior silver hinges you see in the before photo, filled in and sanded the holes. I then drilled the doors for no show, soft close hinges. The new look is clean, crisp and modern with no visible hinges. And the kitchen is so much brighter and looks bigger.
We used Sherwin-Williams Natural Linen in the Emerald Eurethane Line in satin finish.

I love seeing every before and after transformation.
If you are interested in updating your kitchen cabinets, reach out to me and I’d be glad to put together a quote for you (it’s free) and talk to you about updating your kitchen.

Finished up this kitchen island in White House this week. The kitchen is being painted in a light neutral grey and so we paired the island in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster in their Emerald Eurethane line in satin finish. We got rid of the yellowish tone with the brown glaze and now it’s a crisp, clean warm white.
If you are interested in updating your kitchen island, kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities, I’m glad to give you a free quote.

Here is the other gorgeous kitchen we recently got to transform. The cabinets had the factory antique finish look with the dark brown braided rope trim at the top. Mrs. French knew she wanted a crisp clean look and she went with Sherwin-Williams Oxford White in satin finish. We did the side cabinet and island in the deep rich contrasting color of Cyberspace, but had it mixed a little darker to compliment the beautiful black and grey quartz countertops. I drilled the island drawers for handles and it turned out stunning.
I also caulked the braided rope trim at the top for a seemless look and added new matte black hardware on all the cabinetry. Now when you enter, your eyes are immediately drawn to the crisp white cabinets and the deep rich details of the island and pantry set against the beautiful wood beams and handmade window shutters of this log home.
I loved transforming this kitchen, and double blessed to have made a new friend.
Thank you to the French family for entrusting me to complete your vision for your kitchen. ***The small video clip on the last picture lets you see the entire kitchen.

This kitchen was completed in 4 days. If you are interested in updating the look of your cabinets before holidays, reach out for your free quote. I have a just few spots left open til the end of the year.

The past few weeks, we’ve been working on some amazing transformations of kitchens. The before and afters of this kitchen are so pretty. It doesn’t even look like the same kitchen. We took the cabinets from a pickled wood to Sherwin-Williams Clary Sage in the Emerald Rurethane line in satin finish. We removed the border, and painted above the cabinets in Greek Villa, also a Sherwin Williams color. The homeowner installed vertical headboard for backsplash and it was also painted in Greek Cilla to match. The cabinet next to the refrigerator was removed to make more room for the dining table. And on the back side of the peninsula, I replaced the back wall due to water damage and installed a door instead of the stationary panel so that she has access to that cabinet space, where she is going to store appliances instead of them being on the counter.
It took a few weeks but it turned out beautiful.
Thank you so much to the homeowners for entrusting me to achieve your vision and purpose for your kitchen.

I love how this update turned out. All of their cabinetry was dark and they will be redoing their hardwood floors going with a darker stain so they decided to lighten up there lower cabinets.
We talked about how normally you see darker cabinets on the bottom and lighter on the top and I Absolutely LOVE how these look. I told them they just started a new design trend❤️❤️.
I painted the lower cabinets and island in Sherwin-Williams Divine White. It’s a warm creamy white and pairs perfectly with their backsplash and dining table.
Thank you, Karen Barnes, for allowing me to bring your idea to life.

It’s been a busy past couple of months and I’m behind on posting recently completed jobs, so sorry for the overload post today. 😊
This recently completed transformation in Springfield turned out gorgeous. These cabinets had the old style exterior hinges. I filled in those holes, sanded and painted all of the cabinetry in the kitchen and breakfast area in Sherwin-Williams Dorian Gray, in their emerald eurethane line. I drilled new holes into backs of the doors and installed soft close, no show hinges. New hardware was added and then Randy Shores 1st Class Countertop Company came in and installed these beautiful countertops.
Up next is there laundry and mud room cabinets to match.
