I finished my last project today before I start my new job at Deerfield Academy on Monday. The homeowners wanted a roof over their patio, and a portico over the garage entry door. Once they saw the portico, they wanted one over the back door of the house.

I am happy to announce that I am the new Technical Director for Deerfield Academy’s theatre department. I start August 19.

I will be taking on select jobs during the summer break.

A client asked me to build an in-wall bookcase between the hallway, and a guest bedroom. Because it would protrude into the bedroom, he requested that the bottom of the bedroom side have a couple of shelves for games and books for when his grandchildren visit.

He also asked that the side facing the hallway have a pull out shelf so that one can place a book on it to quickly browse through. I suggested a little half moon turntable instead, as seen in the video (see comment section).
