Some people ask why they should pay extra to hire a General Contractor to manage projects as opposed to calling the individual sub-contractors themselves. Here's a good example of why. A GC would not have let the Garage door installer get away with ruining the structural integrity of this beam.
Garage Door Installer: "That specifically engineered LVL Beam isn't doing anything! Let me cut out the entire center so I can get my garage door opener to fit."
