TJS Woodworks builds heirloom quality furniture and cabinetry. Tim Samelak is the owner and cabinetmaker. Tim learned his trade at Macomber Vocational HS, in Toledo, Ohio, where he graduated as a cabinetmaker. He then attended Hocking College and majored in Forestry. Tim worked in the hardwood lumber industry for 25 years before opening TJS Woodworks in 2001. His experiences working as a lumber in
spector, log scaler, dry kiln operator and mill manager give him tremendous knowledge about wood species and characteristics. TJS Woodworks maintains working relationships with finishers, door and drawer manufacturers and installers. This gives Tim and his company the range to work on projects as small as a blanket chest all the way up thru an entire home of cabinetry. All projects are handcrafted with the highest quality materials and workmanship. Tim and his wife Diane have been married for 31 years. They have lived in Greensboro since 1995. Diane is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. They have 2 grown children. In addition to crafting fine woodworking, Tim is a Teaching Professional at Precision Golf School and Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Grimsley HS.
