β οΈ SOUTHEAST GREENSBORO HOMEOWNERS β οΈ
Yesterday's storm appears to have produced localized straight-line winds strong enough to bring down trees and cause widespread power outages near the Urban Loop.
Even if your roof isn't leaking, wind damage isn't always visible from the ground. Lifted shingles, damaged ridge caps, and compromised flashing can turn into expensive leaks weeks or months later.
If you're in the southeast Greensboro area, now is the time to have your roof checked.

SOUTHEAST GREENSBORO: Appears to have been a microburst near the Urban Loop around 3:15-3:30pm Sunday.
A microburst happens when air rapidly rushes out of a thunderstorm and hits the ground in all directions, causing straight line wind damage. They can be stronger than 60-80mph at times.
The damage can be similar to tornadoes, but this storm wasn't rotating - it's the wind hitting the ground and spreading out that we're seeing on the radar scan.
I've seen a few pictures of damage from these neighborhoods, and there were a few thousand power outages at the time.
If you're in this area would love to see other pictures / videos to help report what happened to the US National Weather Service Raleigh NC.
Please include location with any reports. Thank you.
