Update on the deck job I’m on right now. I fought through the rain yesterday and got the framing inspection done. All was well there, started putting down the planks. I really like how this one is turning out and I believe this deck is going to make this house really jump! Today I will finish the planks and get the handrails started. Hoping to be finished here next week and onto the next one. If anyone knows where the shut off valve is for the rain, please let me know 🤣

Update on the deck! Moving along nicely, mostly framed out and have the outside stair stringers in place. I use a 5 piece stair stringer setup, this gives a great finished product with clean lines and extra structural integrity. This deck is really going to give a great first impression when this house hits the market!

Hello everyone,
I got my son out with me this weekend to do an emergency plumbing and carpentry job. We had to remove this tongue and grove knotty pine to grain access to the diverter. The water pipes broke over the winter and when the homeowner came to open up for the summer months they couldn’t get to the problem. My son and I accessed the situation and talked it over with the homeowner. I told them we should make this wall removable. The homeowners wanted to make sure it was going to look right and not out of place. I insured them when we were finished they would not be able to tell. After fixing the plumbing my son and I built the frame work for the wall attached magnetic clips to it to hold it into place and reinstalled all the tongue and grove and trim work! My son along with the homeowners were very impressed and thought it was very cool! It’s these kinds of moments with my son in my family business I cherish. Hello everyone,
Just finishing up this Egress window job, this has been a fun one. I wanted to show some pictures and let you guys see the process. Sometimes people wonder why jobs cost so much. As you will see in these pictures, it’s not just take out the old and put in the new. The old windows were not the correct egress window, they were not to code, and the homeowner was unable to get a renters permit for this house without fixing them. To install the correct egress windows I had to demo a lot of drywall, remove the headers install new king and jack studs, new headers, new studs above the headers, new drywall, mud, tape, sand, paint, and trim work and reinstall the siding. I had a horrible time finding this siding after calling all my suppliers, I had to use PVC trim to fill in around the windows on the outside to make the old siding work. A lot goes into jobs like this considering it was just changing windows. However the end product is worth it when professionalism, craftsmanship, and pride are involved. Hello,
Wanted to show the new jobsite I’m on. Had to remove the old windows that were not egress to code in this basement. Then remove all frame work and replace headers to correct high and width. Reframe everything and today passed the inspection on elevation and frame work! Now I just have to put it all back together. All estimates are free, fully insured and registered with the state of Pa.
