Beautiful primary bath remodel for a wonderful couple this past fall.

Removed the old tile shower and bathroom down to studs and subfloor. Expanded the bathroom to give more room and created a water closet for privacy. Beautiful tile and a fantastic custom white oak vanity, linen built in, and make up counter. Finished off with a nice open shower and frameless shower door.

2024 PigSkin Pigout is done. Placed 11th out of 18. Not too bad for the very first ever time ever doing a competition and not knowing what to expect. Enjoyed great company and we all had a great time. Thank you to all the students, faculty, staff, friends, and family that made the weekend successful!

2x22 boards? Yep. I’ll trim them up a little and plan to use them as band joists on my 20” floor trusses. 😁

In between our projects, we have put together this little self service firewood stand on Portertown Rd.

$6 bundles or $20 for 4 bundles! Much cheaper than retail and more for your $. Mixed wood (no pine) that varies in length from about 14” to 20” with most around 16”. Just pick your bundles and drop cash in the drop box or pay through Venmo.

Spent some time this holiday to clear the land for the house build. Pulled up some massive pine stumps (32 in total), organized the topsoil, and dug the borrow pit for some clean structural fill. More work remains but this week with the excavator has been pretty productive. The ole Ford dump truck sure got its workout too loaded with overburden, stumps, and wet sand. It just kept going without complaint except for the periodic smoke coming from the clutch. 😂

Been busy milling lumber for the house. Turning pine trees into lumber and even managed to find some nice heart pine and milled into some beautiful 5/4 boards.

Cable guy drills too many holes and this is the result…. A water damaged/rotten band joist from years of water making its way to the framing.

Removed siding, removed exterior double band joist and replaced with new. Reassemble and add new exterior sheathing and wrap with a little new paint and good to go!
