This morning started as a routine roof replacement. Tear off. Re-deck. Dry in. Done by lunch.

That plan changed quickly.

Once we removed the roofing system, we uncovered major structural damage to large cedar beams supporting the entire home. Not standard lumber. Not something you can grab from the local yard. These are specialty structural members and the scope immediately moved beyond a basic roofing project.

Here’s the reality about construction: something always goes differently than expected.

The difference between a good contractor and a great one isn’t whether problems happen… it’s how they respond when they do.
