No matter the type of precipitation we get, it is definitely going to be an extended period of freezing temperatures. See below for tips that could potentially keep you from having frozen or burst pipes.

🥶Freezing Weather Plumbing Tips🥶

💦Let faucets drip
When temperatures drop below freezing, turn faucets on constant drip (hot and cold). Moving water is less likely to freeze.

🚪Open cabinet doors
Open kitchen and bathroom cabinets to let warm air circulate around pipes under sinks.

❄️Insulate exposed pipes
Wrap pipes in crawl spaces, garages, and exterior walls with foam pipe insulation or heat tape.

🚱Disconnect outdoor hoses
Remove hoses and shut off exterior water valves if possible.

🏠 Check crawl spaces and garages
Make sure vents are closed and pipes are protected.

‼️Know where your main shutoff is
If a pipe bursts, shutting off the main water supply immediately can prevent major damage.

It is with great sadness we grieve the passing of Kemper Hudson. He was more than an employee to CL Warters, he was a good friend and an awesome person. Kemp was a hard worker and never slowed down even while fighting a daily battle with cancer. he was an inspiration to all with his bright and sunny attitude. He never felt sorry for himself. He just wanted to be one of the guys. Kemp will always be in our hearts. Kemp changed us all for the better by knowing him. He will be deeply missed. May God bring healing and peace to his family.
