Hillcrest Landscape Services is hiring!

We are looking for a driven, hard working individual that is team oriented and can work well on their own.

Role: Landscape Laborer (Full time)
Pay: Starting at $18 an hour with no experience, pay is dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of power tools (trimmers, blowers, mowers, chainsaw, etc.)
- Use of hand tools (shovels, pitchforks, rakes, etc.)

Requirements:
- Reliable source of transportation to and from work
- On time every day
- Physically demanding job, must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk up to 10 miles a day during peak season
- Ability to work 40 plus hour weeks

Post Storm Clean Up

We donated about 3 hours in the skidsteer today for a great customer.Delaware Veterans Inc., Post #1.We were able to gain back 12-15 parking spots throughout the entire parking lot. Now there is more parking for the post, its members, and when they host events. This was much needed, as the snow is not going anywhere anytime soon!

Beautiful new front landscape and natural stone patio completed this week. We removed the existing landscape and installed a new, low maintenance design. Mulch volcano awareness. Mulch can be a great thing, when applied correctly. Over applying hardwood mulch year after year leads to the mounding of mulch around and against the bark of the tree. This can lead to adventitous roots (roots that grow from trunk tissue, not root tissue) which in the future can lead to girdling roots. Girdling roots can suffocate the tree and can comprise the tree's ability to move water and nutrients. This type of mulch application can also lead to root rot and can encourage harmful bacteria and fungi. This can weaken the tree and more easily allow a pathway in for pests and pathogens. We have the knowledge and expertise to advise against mulch volcanoes and the ability to fix them when we encounter them on new clients properties.

Awesome transformation. Removal of some large landscape beds, shrubs, and pachysandra. Brought down to grade of the existing lawn, leveled, and installation of +\- 1700sq foot of Tall Fescue sod. All while protecting the roots of a beautiful variegated leaf dogwood.
