Eaves on slate roofs are often damaged by improper installation of gutters. Don't panic - we can make them new again! This week we did a full restoration of a building acquired by the Saegertown Historical Society. This building will provide the space for celebrating the history of this beautiful community.

This is our first time doing work that is grant funded, and we're happy to work with your organization to provide what you need to maintain the historic buildings of our region. Thanks for looking!

- Nice little job today putting this new bay window roof on. Years ago we installed a salvaged slate roof for this customer. Today, I finished up with last project. There is a before and after photo. I also found the cool little tag on the back of one of the old slate - Bangor Slate Company in Bangor, Penna. It's a nice little bit of history.

We're really happy with the outcome of this job. Because this was a restoration, we used new Pennsylvania black slate to match the rest of the roofs. The copper is 20 oz, and now these roofs will be good for another 100+ years. I added a couple before pictures for reference.

Some times you get into a mess. This roof had newer slate, and the customer noticed leaking. We got into the job and discovered what had been covered up several years back. 16 hours later, the balcony roof had a new header, rafters, ceiling joists, sheathing, and the slate was reset with new copper flashing.
