You wouldn't change the oil in your car once and expect the engine to last forever. The same is true for your roof.

No matter what type of roof you're looking at, a rusty nail pop is never a good sign.

A nail pop occurs when a roofing nail begins backing out of the roof system. As the exposed nail head rusts, it can create a pathway for water to enter the roof assembly.

It's one of those small roofing details that can tell a much bigger story about the condition of a roof.
