We are seeing numerous ice machines coming in with Potential Relay issues on compressors. This is a direct result of LOW voltage supply while in operation. Please try and have direct feeds from electrical panel to your ice maker to insure a voltage of 117-125 minimum during operation. This will save your equipment from failure. 12/2 minimum from the panel to the contactor...this includes the cord on the ice machine itself...as many distributors don't include the proper electrical supply cord when sold.
